The Ecolodge "la Cabine du Capitaine" is a unique 22m studio with a private terrace for 2. Located in the quiet district of Tasdon, unlike the noisy and crowdy historical city centre of La Rochelle, it allows you to be only a few minutes away by bike from all amenities and just next to the bus (lign Illico 1) crossing La Rochelle. Under the shade of your large private terrace, sipping your favourite drink, you have a superb view over a large 630m2 shared Zen garden, which you can enjoy at your pace and meet other travellers if you want to. Entirely renovated in 2019, your eco-flat is environmental-friendly because: You sleep in the comfort of organic cotton sheets and natural latex mattresses, without toxic products. You heat yourself with renewable energy (solar and photovoltaic panels, heat pump). You enjoy a garden with fruit-trees, an LPO bird refuge with a pond helping develop local biodiversity. The unique decoration is made from recycled materials or antique furniture that have been restored. The insulation and paints used during the renovation are toxic-free (wood wool and cork, natural paint). You can test zero waste and homemade products if you feel like it. The studio includes a dining area, the sleeping area and the kitchen area. The kitchen is fully equipped (oven, ceramic hobs and crockery), and is made of untreated wood pallets and raw wood. You have a private bathroom with a suspended toilet, a basin, a table and a shower. Towels are free of charge at your disposal, travel lighter! We also take care of washing them.
